WooCommerce Questions and Answers

1. alemarengo84 asks:

I’d like to add text, like “free shipping”, next to price but only if $price>=59$. Is it possible to do that by adding a conditional logic via fuctions.php?  I thought it could be something like this:

add_filter( ‘woocommerce_get_price_html’, ‘custom_price_message’ );
function custom_price_message( $price ) {
$s = 59;
if ( $price >= $s ) {
$ss = ‘ <h4>some text</h4>’;
return $price . $ss;
}
}

but if I put this code, price disappeared.

How can I fix this?

Answer:

The filter ‘woocommerce_get_price_html’ is being used, but his conditional is comparing a HTML string to an integer.  This won’t work.

In the gist I change up the code he supplied to make it work and also not to affect the admin area of the site.

 2. Kash asks:

 Is woocommerce compatible with wp multisite?

Answer

Not yet. This is one of the highest requested features. It is on the WC roadmap and you can read more about it on the WC Trello Board.

3. Nicholas Coriano asks via Twitter

I need a WooCommerce Expert! Is it futile to find one on social media

Answer

Matt shared his recent experience in hiring a WordPress coder from the WordPress Job Board.

I suggested that the best place to get help with WooCommerce is:

My Shop: http://growdevelopment.com

My friend Curtis McHale  http://sfndesign.ca/

Conductor Plugin for WooCommerce

Matt and Scott give a demo of the Conductor Plugin for WordPress which is an advanced way to build pages and displays for your WordPress site.  It also helps store owners manage the presentation of data in their WooCommerce site.

They also showed off a new plugin they just shipped called Note. Note is a live text editor for WordPress.
